Creator of Bad Cheese Announces Gruesome New Horror Incremental Game Kopernicus: Extraction
THERE IS NO ESCAPE FROM THE THINGS YOU LOVE
Kraków, Poland (June 2, 2026) – Black Lantern Collective and solo developer Simon Lukasik have officially unveiled Kopernicus: Extraction, a deeply unsettling incremental horror game where survival means facing unknowable terrors and the traumatic nightmares of your unresolved past, all while trapped on a planet of despair.
Set on an alien planet that uses your mind to conjure nightmarish creatures, you are the sole survivor of the crashed space station SSC Kopernicus. Players must take charge of their own destiny—Survive the night, expand your base by day, and construct desperate tools to further increase your survival, all while extracting traumatic memories.
And whatever you do… don’t hold on too tightly to the things you love.
Currently planned for release in Q4 2026, Kopernicus: Extraction is developed by Simon Lukasik, creator of the disturbing and fantastic cartoon psychological horror Bad Cheese, and co-creator of cult indie titles Bulb Boy and Poopdie. With Kopernicus: Extraction, Lukasik pushes even further into surreal horror territory, combining grotesque imagery, unsettling sound design, and compulsive progression systems into something uniquely uncomfortable.
