So much of <em>Rain98</em>&rsquo;s rich setting is about making a human connection while immersing players in the sights and sounds of Tokyo in the 90s, and we want to get the vibes just right.</p><p><em>Rain98</em> sees players unexpectedly appearing in the past, face to face with an enigmatic girl named Reina, who isn&rsquo;t too impressed with you or what the coming decades have to offer. We want the experience of playing it to linger with you for a long time, and to be as impactful as the iconic scenes from anime and movies that reside in the popular imagination for generations. We realized that in order to achieve that, we would need to pour even more effort into it. They connect naturally to character psychology, the game&rsquo;s narrative tone, and the thick, dark, rainy atmosphere of the story.</p><p>Preparing all of this with the care it takes requires
