Dead As Disco, Rain98, Dungeon Lurker, ANOMALITH, and More Playable at gamescom!
Ukiyo Studios Hosts a Wide Lineup of Indie Games at Germany’s Biggest Show
Melbourne, Australia (Aug 21, 2026) — Ukiyo Studios will be returning to gamescom this year, hosting indie games from around the world, crossing a variety of genres. Whether you’re into racing through curves, fighting to the beat, soaking in the vibes of a rainy evening, or exploring a possibly haunted game cartridge, we’ve got something that should intrigue you. Most of these titles will be located at the Ukiyo Studios booth in Hall 10.1, Booth F063.
Dead As Disco
With over 1.4 million demo players and 500,000 copies sold in Steam Early Access, Dead As Disco is a viral hit, taking stylish combat and syncing it up to the beat to make you feel like a martial arts rockstar. As if that wasn’t sick enough, you can even drop in your favorite tracks to make it your own. If you haven’t played it yet, be sure to drop by to get in on the demo.
Dungeon Lurker
*Please note that Dungeon Lurker will be at the Indie Arena Booth, Hall 10.2 booth F010g-E019
Like a lost relic on a forgotten 32-bit console, Dungeon Lurker mixes Golden Axe style combat with RPG and roguelite upgrades, pushing you to fight your way deeper into the dungeon across multiple runs while mastering a variety of upgrades and spells. You might also stumble upon clues that there’s more happening outside the box.
Tokyo Xtreme Racer - Racing Wheel Setup
We’ll have racing wheel stations for you to put your foot to the floor and race through faithfully recreated Tokyo expressways. Wear down your opponents’ mental resolve with its one-of-a-kind spirit points system, and take advantage of real world customization options to give your car the edge you need to pull ahead.
Rain98
Keep the Tokyo vibes rolling as you fall back in time to a 1998 apartment where the girl you just met wants you to help her destroy the world. But first, you’ll have to take a shower and help with the laundry. See the gorgeous first title from Japanese studio C#4R4CT3R and find out why players from around the world have been raving about the art, music, and mystery of this moody adventure.
Box Knight
Launching on the eve of gamescom, Box Knight has you battling your way through drones and gremlins spawned from toxic workplace culture. Become the Box Knight to take back the office and defeat the evil bosses. We’ll have a demo available to play at the booth in either single player or co-op modes.
Die Deep
From Taiwanese studio PINIX Games, Die Deep is making its European debut at gamescom! Die Deep is an action game focused purely on combat. No exploration, no puzzles, no filler. One reckless move or greedy strike, and it’s all over. Control characters with distinct traits and goals, and take on challenging bosses in a relentless cycle of fierce battles.
CRYMELIGHT
Following in the footsteps of CRYSTAR and CRYMACHINA, CRYMELIGHT is a roguelike action game set in the world of the afterlife, where girls confront their sins as they fight to gain their freedom. Set in an afterlife themed after Alice in Wonderland, Alice must confront the painful pasts of her companions and beat the evil queen at her own game. Defeating enemies creates a purple zone on the field where the action speeds up and your abilities grow stronger. Plus, one ability rains forks down from the sky, and it is super satisfying to watch.
ANOMALITH
A survival-based third-person shooter set in Japan, ANOMALITH is steeped in the atmosphere of liminal spaces and Showa-era retro aesthetics. Play as Reona Minazuki who ventures deep into Anomaly Zones where physics and reality shift, creating labyrinths filled with deadly creatures. Employed as a diver, Minazuki exhibits a strange power within the zones, enabling her to venture deeper and search for her missing friend. Use a variety of firearms to take down enemies from a distance, unleash beast-like powers as your body transforms, and gather resources to further strengthen and upgrade your powers.
Crispy Circuits
Discover the world of electronics by fixing your hamster’s RC plane. Build real circuits, solve increasingly challenging engineering puzzles, and learn how electronic devices actually work. This wholesome circuitry sim lets you electrocute your hamster without authorities getting involved.
Escape Simulator 2: Apocalypse DLC
The Apocalypse DLC adds 4 new escape rooms set in a near-future world devastated by an unknown catastrophe. Civilization has gone quiet. Cities are overgrown, systems are failing, and the only way forward is through the clues left by those who came before you. Your goal is simple: survive, follow the clues, and find Sanctuary, a place rumored to still hold life.
Dark Queen of Samobor
Experience a thrilling adventure through the dark and atmospheric world of medieval Croatia where an evil queen rules from the shadows and her haunted guardians await you. Venture into a dark fantasy tale wrapped in a cinematic action side-scroller with a unique 2.5D style.
And one final bonus — we’ll have the frog from Sledding Game stopping by the booth from time to time if you’d like to get a photo with him. He’s sooo cute!
Again, we’ll be in Hall 10.1, Booth F063. So, please pay us a visit to try out some great indie games. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
